Desperately seeking inspiration Project 365 Day 358

Yesterday was one of those grey kind of days when you don’t feel inspired to go out never mind seek out something interesting to photograph. Actually today is, if anything, even worse. It is windy, wet and depressing.
So I need a bit of inspiration to light a creative spark. After all I am only a week off finishing my first Project 365 and I can’t falter now. This is the final hurdle, the great push. I’d like to go out with a bang if I can rather than a whimper.
As you can see, I’ve turned to my old photography books to see if there is anything that the past masters can offer me. It is amazing when you look through those books to see what these people achieved. Their cameras often had just the one lens and it wasn’t a 5 to 1 zoom, they didn’t have millions of megapixels in their cameras, nor did they have Photoshop. For them it was D76, hypo and a lot of patience in the dark.
You know I regularly read discussions on the photography forums where people are complaining of the latest camera’s performance at 3,200ASA and beyond. God damn it, for these past masters 400ASA was as high as they could go without producing grain the size of golf balls in their prints. The very thought of trying to get an image with a high dynamic range was beyond their comprehension.
OK now I am inspired, all I have to do is find a couple of prostitutes hanging out of a window like Cartier Bresson did in 1934.
